Idina Menzel Holiday Wishes Review

 It is that time of year, for everyone to spread some holiday cheer!  What better way to spread the cheer than with a song?  So, this thanksgiving I'll be pulling out the holiday decorations and CD's and adding one to my collection!

Mommy Moments with Abby's review of Idina Menzel's Holiday Wishes: I have more of a collectors approach to music.  You will find a little bit of everything in my collection.  That said I have a soft spot for classic sounds with a personalized twist on them.  It has to be balanced though, too much of a personal touch can be overkill and destroy the song, too little and it may as well just be any old recording.  I was very pleased when I turned on these songs.  They have just enough personal touch to make them sound interesting without taking away from the classics that most of these songs are, my favorite was probably the duet between Idina and Micheal Buble with Baby, it's cold outside. My only complaint was that I felt Idina could have utilized her amazing range a little more.  Her voice is perfect for the classic holiday songs and I wish she would have put her range on display a little more.  That said, if you are looking for a new Holiday sound to fill your home this is a great option to have.  Added Bonus, if you have a daughter like I do, chances are, the moment their here the voice singing the songs you will get tons of requests for the Elsa Christmas songs!  Check out this sample of one of the songs off the CD, Holiday Wishes!

Idina currently stars as Elizabeth in the original Broadway production of If/Then.
